What is naturopathic medicine?
Before “functional” and “integrative” became buzz words, there was naturopathic medicine.
Naturopathic medicine is a patient-centered approach to healthcare that blends modern medical science with natural therapies.
It focuses on identifying the root cause of illness, supporting the body’s ability to heal, and creating individualized, whole-person treatment plans.
Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are board-certified physicians that complete a rigorous 4-year medical program at an accredited university and must pass strict licensure requirements, clinical hours, and a series of board exams.
What can I expect from my visits?
Our visits will be phased out with the first comprising a thorough, patient-centered intake.
You will have completed an extensive new patient intake form at least 48 hours prior to this visit to allow Dr. time to dive into your health history, request any needed records, and make the most of our first visit.
After our initial visit Dr. Quinn will provide recommendations and usually additional laboratory analysis, which you may complete at your convenience at a local lab draw site or at home depending on the testing type.
Initial follow-ups usually last 60 minutes in length to allow adequate time for lab review and thorough discussion and next steps.
Additional follow-ups may occur at a rate anywhere between 4-8 weeks, with between 45-60 minutes allotted depending on each unique patient.
If Abdominal Therapy bodywork is incorporated into a visit, 60 minutes is necessary.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, naturopathic doctors in the state of MN are unable to utilize insurance benefits.
Patients may request superbills to submit to their insurance carrier for reimbursement of visits, labs, and/or supplements. HSA/FSA funds may be utilized.

What is your cancellation policy?
Visits cancelled with less than a 48-hour notice will be billed at 50% of the visit cost, and those cancelled within 24 hours 100%.
Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
Do you prescribe pharmaceuticals?
Although Dr. Quinn is board-certified in elective pharmacology from the accredited North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners (NABNE), due to MN state licensure restrictions she is unable to prescribe medications (she is hoping to see this change soon!).
To best meet her patients’ unique needs, Dr. Quinn partners with local prescribing practitioners when she determines a pharmaceutical intervention is warranted.
